The Beloit Professional Baseball Association is proud to announce the hiring of Marcus Jacobs and Tom Gross to fill out the front office roster. Jacobs and Gross take over as the Director of Media and Community Relations/Marketing and Director of Food and Beverage respectively.

Marcus Jacobs joins the Snappers after spending the last three seasons as the Media Assistant with the Clinton LumberKings of the Midwest League. A 2006 graduate of Waldorf College (IA), Jacobs has also spent time as a sports writer with the Clinton (IA) Herald. His duties with the Snappers will include handling all media requests and needs, along with setting up all player appearances and Snappy appearances. An Iowa native, Jacobs will also be in charge of initiating all marketing efforts by the team, coordinating Snappy's Reading Club and handling the public address announcing during all 2009 home games.

Tom Gross is coming back to the Snappers organization after spending the 2007 season with the team as an intern. After doing a marketing internship with the triple-A Omaha Royals during the 2005 season, he spent part of last season as the Director of Ticket Operations with the Yakima Bears of the Northwest League. A 2008 Simpson (IA) College graduate, Gross will handle all of the food and beverage operations at Pohlman Field, along with assisting in the running of other stadium operations and the coordination of the Beloit Snappers volunteer teams.

"I am very happy to have both Marcus and Tom on board with the Snappers," remarked Snappers General Manager Jeff Vohs. "Both of them bring baseball experience and enthusiasm to their positions, and along with Riley and Matt, I'm looking forward to working with our front office team to make it a great 2009 season for everyone at Pohlman Field."

Snappers Assistant General Manager Riley Gostisha will again head up the teams corporate sales and promotion efforts, along with heading back on the field as the Snappers game day on-field emcee. Gostisha was promoted to Assistant GM and ran the food and beverage operations in 2008 after spending his first three seasons with the Snappers as Director of Corporate Sales and Promotions.

Ticket packages for the 2009 season are now available with plenty of perks to go along with them. Contact a Snappers' representative at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit, 608-362-2272, or www.snappersbaseball.com for more information.
