Many happy returns for San Jose's Davis

NEW YORK – San Jose kickoff return threat WR/DB RASHIED DAVIS will be the first player in team history to return a kickoff for a score in three straight games if he can score one against the Avengers this week. Davis returned a kickoff for a touchdown in his second straight game against Las Vegas on March 20, for his League-leading fourth of the year. He became the second player in San Jose history to return a kickoff for a score in consecutive games, tying STEVE PAPIN, who did it on five different occasions during his SaberCats career.

The all-time record was set by Nashville's TYRONNE JONES in 1998 when he had four consecutive games with a touchdown return.

The last time Davis played Los Angeles (2/22/04), he tied a SaberCats record with two kickoff returns for touchdowns and also added 3.5 tackles to earn game U.S. Army Ironman honors. Davis continues to lead the AFL in return average at 31.2 yards per return.
