DENVER - Colorado Mammoth forward Gavin Prout has been named a second-team All-Pro by the National Lacrosse League.

Prout set a Mammoth team record and led the league with 67 assists this season. He also scored 25 goals to give him 92 points, leading the team and tying him for second in league scoring. The Mammoth captain made his sixth NLL All-Star Game appearance this year and led his team to its sixth consecutive playoff berth.

"Gavin once again was our team's leader in every facet of the game," Mammoth general manager Steve Govett said. "He has developed into one of the NLL's truly great players and it is nice to see him honored again this season."

Prout, who has averaged better than 85 points per season during his seven-year career, eclipsed the 200-goal mark this season en route to his fifth All-Pro distinction. He was a second-team choice in 2002 for the New York Saints, in 2004 after his first season with the Mammoth, and in 2007. He was a first-team selection in 2006 after his first season as the Mammoth's captain.
