Mammoth Television Series Debuts This Week
April 27, 2009 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that a new television series - Mammoth: Wired Up - will debut this week on Altitude Sports & Entertainment. Mammoth: Wired Up is a behind-the-scenes look at the Colorado Mammoth. The film crew follows players, coaches and staff in the locker room, at home, at practice and games to show what it takes to be a National Lacrosse League player, coach or staff member.
Produced by Spare Parts Media, the goal of the series is to tell the stories from a perspective that the average fan rarely gets to see. Executive Producer Jason Nolte says, "We had a great time producing the show with the Mammoth. On or off the field, the players are really down-to-Earth and likable guys. It's also rare to have a group of players and staff who have this much passion for the game itself. You don't always see that in other sports."
Throughout the show, the crew follows and profiles various aspects from the individual lives of the players to coaches to the staff that make each game flow smoothly. Mammoth: Wired Up also follows the players during off days and away from the game. Offering a look inside the role of these professional athletes in their "real lives" - where they have actual careers including teachers, sales people, members of law enforcement and firefighters among others.
Three 30-minute episodes of the series will begin on Friday, May 1 at 10:30pm (MT). For complete listing of the series, please visit www.Altitude.TV. For more information about Spare Parts Media, please visit their website at www.SparePartsMedia.com.
The Mammoth travels to top-seeded Calgary this Sunday, May 3 for a 3pm playoff tilt with the Roughnecks. The organization will host a viewing party at Brooklyn's at Pepsi Center Sunday afternoon. Mammoth fans will have the opportunity to come to Brooklyn's and enjoy drink specials, prizes, contests, giveaways and more - all while in the company of fellow Colorado supporters. The Wild Bunch and Wooly will be on hand, as well as members of the Mammoth front office staff. The event will be free to attend, but fans are asked to RSVP by email to Mammoth@PepsiCenter.com. By submitting the RSVP, fans will automatically be entered into an exclusive team drawing at the party.
For fans not attending the viewing party, the game can be seen free-of-charge online at ColoradoMammoth.com. A radio broadcast of the game will also be available on AM1510.
