Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth has announced its support of the 30th annual Coats for Colorado campaign. Wooly, the team's mascot, will be present at the 7News studios (123 Speer Blvd / Denver, CO 80203) on Monday, October 3 from 6:00-7:00am to celebrate the official launch of the two-month-long garment collection. The team plans to donate several officially-licensed Mammoth player jackets on site.
"Providing coats to keep fellow Coloradoans (who are in need) warm during the winter months is an extremely important initiative," said Mammoth President & General Manager Steve Govett. "I encourage all of our fans who are able to donate new or gently-used coats to do so."
Since its inaugural year in 1982, Coats for Colorado has provided more than 1.8 million coats to individuals, families, and more than 120 non-profit health and human services agencies. If you are unable to join Wooly at 7News on Monday morning, log on to coatsforcolorado.org or TheDenverChannel.com for additional drop-off locations and campaign information.
