Mammoth Signs Two Forwards, Two Defensemen

DENVER - The Colorado Mammoth announced today that it has agreed to terms with 2011 NLL Entry Draft second-round selections Jordan McBride and Jamie Lincoln (both forwards), as well as veteran defensemen John Orsen and Brad Richardson.

"I have high hopes for this group of players in 2012," said Mammoth President & General Manager Steve Govett."

McBride, the 13th overall pick in the draft, was named the American East Player of the Year last season. He recorded more than 40 goals in each of his four years at Stony Brook University.

Lincoln, who the Mammoth selected immediately after picking McBride, spent two seasons at the University of Denver before finishing his collegiate career at Hofstra University. Twice named an honorable mention All-American, Lincoln tallied 115 career goals.

Orsen was acquired by the Mammoth last month in a trade with the Philadelphia Wings. Limited to just four games in 2011 due to injury, Orsen, another Hofstra alumnus, gathered 114 loose balls and was named to the All-NLL Second Team following the 2010 season.

Richardson was acquired by the Mammoth in the 2009 NLL Entry Draft out of the University of Denver. He spent time on the practice squad during the 2011 season, seeing action in one game. In 2010, he scooped up 77 loose balls and dished out 4 assists in 14 games played.

All four players signed one-year contracts.
