Colorado Mammoth News Release
DENVER - The playoffs are coming to Pepsi Center! The Colorado Mammoth will host at least one home playoff game. With Vancouver's loss to Toronto on Friday night, Colorado is assured of finishing as the number-one or number-two seed in the West Division, thus earning a home tilt in the postseason.
"I'm so excited for our fans," said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. "Their passion and enthusiasm for our team and our players is unparalleled. It's great to know that they'll get to enjoy playoff lacrosse at Pepsi Center this season."
The date and opponent of the team's first home playoff game is yet to be determined. If Colorado wins the West Division regular-season title, the Mammoth will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs. If Colorado finishes behind Edmonton, the Mammoth will host the number-three seed in the West Division Semifinal on Sat., May 9 on HealthONE Field at Pepsi Center.
The team will announce the playoff game on-sale date this Tue., April 14.
The Mammoth still has four games remaining in the regular season. It takes on the Rochester Knighthawks in central New York this Saturday before facing them again at Pepsi Center on Fri., April 17 on 'Lacrosse Out Cancer' Night.
