Madison, WI - July 22nd, 2016. The Mallards (8-5, 31-18) were able to top the Kalamazoo Growlers by a score of 5-1 (5-8, 25-24) in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday, playing a seven-inning contest after last night's game was postponed due to rain. The matchup was the first game of a doubleheader, with game two starting at 7:40 pm.
Mike Reitcheck (Penn) took the win, pitching a scoreless inning in relief. The loss was charged to Growlers starter Grant Wolfram (Central Michigan), who allowed four earned runs in 4.1 frames.
