Mallards Team With Illinois Army National Guards, Reynolds Ford For

MOLINE, Ill. (March 6, 2010) - The Quad City Mallards, proud International Hockey League (IHL) affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, have partnered with Reynolds Ford and the Illinois Army National Guard to host Military Appreciation Day on Sunday, March 14, when the Mallards take on the Dayton Gems at 4:05 p.m.

Tickets for the March 14 game will be available to active military and veterans and their families for just $1.

"The community has always supported all branches of the services here in the Quad Cities. We look forward to them coming out and joining us for some fun on March 14," said 1st Sgt. Brian Habel of the Illinois Army National Guard.

The Illinois Army National Guard's presence at the i wireless Center for the March 14 game will include the H3 National Guard Humvee, a National Guard Tent and Recruiting Booth and a National Guard Display in the "Marsh" deck area.

"The sacrifice and bravery of our present and past military families in unquestionable," said Reynolds Ford owner Scott Reynolds. "Reynolds Ford is proud and honored to sponsor this military discount in conjunction with the Quad City Mallards."

**Those wishing to take advantage of the discounted ticket rate are encouraged to purchase their seats in advance in order to insure that they will be able sit with the military group.

"We are very grateful to both Reynolds Ford and the Illinois Army National Guard for making it possible for us to make this offer to the Quad Cities' military personnel and veterans," said Mallards Executive Vice President and General Manager Shawn Hackman. "We look forward to honoring those who serve and have served our country on the fourteenth and making it a memorable afternoon for everyone involved."

Discounted tickets are available to fans who purchase their seats in person at the Mallards' business office at the i wireless Center or by calling the Mallards' office at (309) 277-1364. Reduced rate tickets will also be available to current and former military personnel on the day of the game. To take advantage of the discounted ticket price, those purchasing seats can show any of the following forms of identification when purchasing tickets: U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion or VFW), photograph in uniform, DD214 or citation or commendation.
