Last Game

Chase Lang scored twice as the host Mallards ripped off six unanswered goals on the way to a 6-1 victory over the Indy Fuel Saturday night.

Central

The third-place Mallards are three points ahead of the fourth-place Wings in the Central Division standings. The Mallards have two games in hand on Kalamazoo. The Mallards went 3-2-1 while playing each of their last six games against division opposition.

Axtell

The Mallards have gone 13-6-1 in 20 games since Phil Axtell took over as head coach on January 20.

Home Sweet Home

With Saturday night's win the Mallards finished a three-game homestand 2-0-1.

Six Shooter

The Mallards have scored six goals in two of their last three games. The Mallards bookended their three-game homestand with a 6-4 victory over the Wichita Thunder on Sunday, February 26 and Saturday's 6-1 win over the Fuel. The Mallards rank eighteenth in the ECHL in goals scored (3.1 per game) and ninth in goals against (3.0).

Undermanned

The Mallards won Saturday with just 17 players in uniform instead of the standard 18 after losing four players- forwards Adam Gilmour (Iowa Wild), Nolan LaPorte (Iowa) and Jack Nevins (Iowa) and goaltender C.J. Motte (Chicago Wolves)- to the American Hockey League last Thursday.
