Majors Partner with City of Mississauga, United Way (Peel Region) on Home Opening Night

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors are pleased to be partnering with the City of Mississauga (www.mississauga.ca/portal/home) and United Way (Peel Region) when the hockey club holds their home opening game versus the Brampton Battalion on Friday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m.

The Majors will be welcoming members from the City of Mississauga and United Way of Peel Region and holding activities throughout the game to assist with the organizations' fundraising efforts.

Portions from the Majors 2nd intermission puck toss sold during the game, and tickets sold through the City of Mississauga for that night will go towards United Way of Peel Region. Collection boxes will be made available immediately following the game for those who would like to donate to the cause.

United Way of Peel Region was established in 1967 and serves the communities of Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon, improving social conditions so that everyone can thrive. The Majors are excited to be launching their much-anticipated third season at home in Mississauga that evening alongside community partners, the City of Mississauga and United Way (Peel Region), and supporting a charitable cause.

The Majors are back on the road this weekend when they visit the London Knights on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. Then, the Mississauga squad heads to Sarnia for a showdown with the Sting on the following night.
