Majors Acquire Kerby Rychel from Barrie

MISSISSAUGA, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors have acquired forward Kerby Rychel from the Barrie Colts. Rychel was the Colts first round pick in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection. In return, the Majors will send Barrie 2nd round picks in the 2011 and 2012 OHL Priority Selections as well as a 3rd round pick in the 2014 draft.

Rychel, 15, is a native of Los Angeles, CA. He spent last season playing minor midget hockey for Detroit Belle Tire where he scored 30 goals and 19 assists for 49 points in 55 games. Rychel stands 6'0" tall and weighs in at 185 pounds. Kerby is the son of Windsor Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel.
