Major League Soccer's Orlando City to Have Open Practice at Louisville Slugger

Louisville, KY (August 18, 2015) - Major League Soccer's Orlando City will have an open training session on Monday, August 24th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at Slugger Field where fans can watch domestic and international stars prepare for the following night's match. The open training session kicks off Louisville's biggest summer sporting event when Louisville City hosts Orlando City, the first MLS teamto play in Louisville, on Tuesday, August 25th.

"Orlando City's open training session is a unique opportunity for fans to see some of the top players from around the globe in their training environment," said general manager Amanda Duffy. "It also serves as another platform for the Louisville community and soccer fans around the region to come out and show its level of support for both the sport and club at an event separate from the match itself."

Orlando City, competing in their first season in Major League Soccer, have seen crowds of more than 60,000 fill the Citrus Bowl to watch former Ballon D'Or winner and Brazilian World Cup champion Ricardo Kaka, U.S. Men's National team star Brek Shea, MLS Rookie of the Year candidate Cyle Larin and other league standouts.

The open training session will also include an on-location live show with 790 WKRD's Afternoon Underdogs that will feature special guests from Louisville City.

Admission to the Monday training session is free, and fans will have an opportunity to purchase tickets to the match if they haven't already.

To insure a seat to Tuesday's match scheduled for 7:30 PM and avoid the lines on matchday, fans are encouraged to get their tickets in advance. They can do so today by visiting www.LouisvilleCityFC.com/Tickets

Louisville City FC is a professional soccer team founded in 2014 began its inaugural season in 2015. The United Soccer League was founded in 2010 and has expanded to 24 teams for the 2015 season. Louisville City FC will play all home matches at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville.
