Tulsa Roughnecks FC forward Cristian Mata has earned a spot on this week's USL Team of the Week. Mata was recognized for his performances in Tulsa's two matches last week.

The Tulsa Soccer Club, Union High School and University of Tulsa product scored at total of three goals in the Roughnecks pair of matches. On Thursday, Mata struck twice in the second half of Tulsa's big 5-1 win over Real Monarchs SLC.

In Saturday's draw with Louisville City, the 21-year-old gave the Roughnecks a 2-1 lead with his goal in the 76th minute.

For the season, Mata is second on the team with six goals, despite not joining the Roughnecks until mid-season.

Midfielder Chad Bond earned a bench spot on the Team of the Week. Bond assisted on three of Tulsa's seven goals this week and is now second in USL with eight total assists this season.

The Roughnecks, who are in the thick of the race for playoff spots in the Western Conference, return to action Saturday afternoon with a meeting in Portland with Timbers 2. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:00PM CDT.
