
Major League Soccer Adds FC Cincinnati Forward Brandon Vázquez to Roster for the 2022 MLS All-Star Game Presented by Target

NEW YORK - Today, Major League Soccer announced the addition of FC Cincinnati forward Brandon Vázquez to the roster for the 2022 MLS All-Star Game presented by Target, replacing Valentín "Taty" Castellanos. The second-ever match pitting the stars of MLS against the best of LIGA MX will take place on August 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. CT at Allianz Field in Minneapolis, Minn. and will be broadcast live on ESPN, Univision, TSN or TVA Sports. Vázquez was named to his first career MLS All-Star Game in his sixth MLS season and third with FC Cincinnati. In 22 games this season, Vázquez has set the single-season club record for goals (13) and goal contributions (17), and the forward's 13 goals are tied for the second-most in MLS while his 17 goals contributions are tied for the third-most in the league. In his last five games for the Orange and Blue, Vázquez has produced five goals, which included a brace at Inter Miami CF on July 30. The 23-year-old joins his teammate Luciano Acosta as the first two All-Star selections in club history.
