Maine Celtics News Release
PORTLAND, ME -The Maine Celtics today announced that the team has acquired Jacob Young from the Available Player Pool.
Young, a 6-2 guard, has already played for two other NBA G League teams this season, most recently with the Texas Legends. In two games with Texas, Young averaged 10.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 28.5 minutes per game. Prior to that, the rookie played four games for the Memphis Hustle.
To make room on the roster for Young, the Celtics waived Anthony Tarke, who was recently acquired and had not played in a game for Maine. Young is expected to be in uniform for tonight's game at Wisconsin.
Maine has five games remaining in the regular season, including the regular season finale vs. Westchester on March 23. Tickets are available for purchase by visiting MaineCeltics.com.
