Magic Face Tough Road Test

McALLEN,Texas----With back to back home wins, the RioGrande Valley Magic will face difficult road test against the Amarillo Venom onSaturday night.

TheMagic are motivated after their recent home win over the Laredo Rattlesnakes bya score of 81-49 and look forward to take that momentum on the road. ThreeMagic players were named player of the week of the Lone Star Football League.

QuarterbackBilly Garza, defensive back Marcel Douglas and kicker Leo Araguz earned theaccolade for week eight in the victory over Laredo.

Head Coach Schuyler "Skyler" Andersonsaid "I was very happy and proud at our team'sperformance against Laredo. It felt good to bounce back after dropping thefirst game of the season to them at home. All three phases of the footballgame, offense, defense, and special teams seem to be clicking Monday night."

Coach Anderson commented on the upcoming road gameagainst the Venom "After a short week and some roster changes I hoping our games cancome out fast and not underestimate Amarillo because of the home victory. Nowthat we are in the second half of our season we will really get to see howtalented our team really is going into the home stretch."

Magic home and away games canbe heard on 840 AM Fox Sports Radio with a 15 minute pre-game show hosted byplay-by-play voice Ric Miller.

TheMagic will have their next home game on Monday, June 4, 2012 as they will hostthe West Texas Roughnecks at the State Farm Arena with the kickoff at 7:05 p.m.The Magic will wear commemorative pink jerseys and use pink footballsthrough-out the game. The first 500fans will receive pink replica RGV Magic jerseys. After the game the Magic will auction off thejerseys and footballs with all the proceeds going to a breast cancer foundation.
