LAREDO, Texas---- The Rio Grande Valley Magic fell behind early and could not catch the Laredo Rattlesnakes as they fell by a score of 65-31 on Saturday night at the Laredo Energy Arena.

First half turnovers plagued the Magic on offense as the Rattlesnakes capitalize on them for touchdowns. Quarterback Matt Jeffers threw for 185 yards and four touchdown passes on 16-of-23 completed passes.

Both teams exchanged touchdowns during the first half but, it was the Rattlesnakes defense who capitalized on the field possession battle, which lead to easy scores. Andre Burns led the Magic with 148 all-purpose yards while Ryan Lincoln had six receptions for 94 yards with two touchdowns and accumulated 122 all-purpose yards.

With the loss, the Magic fall to 5-5 in the season and with the win, the Rattlesnakes improve to 5-4 in the season while clinching a share of first place.

The Magic will have their next home game on Saturday, June 30, 2012, as they will host the Laredo Rattlesnakes at the State Farm Arena with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. Season and individual tickets are available by calling (956) 905-5401 or visiting a ticket master outlet.
