Magic Advances to Championship Game

LAREDO, Texas---- the Rio Grande Valley Magic came back in the final seconds of the game to defeat the Laredo Rattlesnakes by a score 50-47 on Saturday night at the Laredo Energy Arena.

Ryan Lincoln caught a 21 yard pass from Billy Garza with nine seconds left to give the Magic the lead and point after was made by Leo Araguz .

Garza ended the game with 211 yards passing with four touchdowns on 16-of-38 passing. Wide Receiver Travis McAlpine had 12 receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns to lead all receivers

With the win, the Magic improve to 7-6 in the season with a berth in the championship game. Their opponent will be the Amarillo Venom, which defeated the West Texas Roughnecks. The championship game will be in San Angelo, Texas on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Foster Communications Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m.

The Magic are 2-0 against the Venom this season defeating them in the regular season.
