
Mad Ants open 13th regular season at home on Friday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, begin the 13th season of NBA G League basketball in Fort Wayne at home this Friday. The Mad Ants host the Lakeland Magic with tip set for 7 p.m. and doors opening to the public at 6 p.m.
The G League team schedules will feature the following for the 2019-20 season:
Zero instances of four games in five nights.
Zero instances of five games in seven nights.
Reduction of back to backs from last year's average per team of 6.6 to a historic low average per team of 6.0.
The league average remaining consistent with last season at 13.6 weekend games per team.
Fort Wayne welcomes the Orlando Magic's G League affiliate to the Coliseum on Friday after taking two of three matchups against Lakeland during the 2018-19 campaign.

Friday night's giveaway item will be magnetic schedules, presented by Lutheran Health Network.
The Mad Ants return to the court on Saturday night to take on the Long Island Nets. Long Island will debut its season following an appearance in the NBA G League Finals last year as the eastern conference champions.
Saturday will be the first of five Pizza Hut Family Nights offered this season. For $20, fans will receive one lower level ticket, one 3-topping medium pizza from Pizza Hut, one winter hat and one baseball cap.
The weekend matchup with Long Island will also be the first "GOLD OUT". The first 1,000 fans will receive a rally towel, while all fans will receive a gold t-shirt on their seat prior to the game.
In celebration of Veterans Day and Remembrance Day, the NBA family will host Hoops for Troops Week from Nov. 7-15 to support and honor members of the Armed Forces and their families. Throughout the week, NBA and NBA G League teams, players, coaches and referees will work closely with members of the military to make a positive impact in communities.
On Saturday night, the Mad Ants will host members from USO Indiana, 122nd Fighter Wing, Freedom Riders and Shepherds House for Military Appreciation Night.
For years, the NBA family has worked alongside military members and their families through #HoopsForTroops as well as commitment to service programs.
After a trip to Maine on Friday, Nov. 15, the Mad Ants will return home on Nov. 18 to take on the College Park Skyhawks for the first ever matchup between the two teams.
During the month of November, Coach Gansey will also wear a pink accessory every game as part of the "Real Men Wear Pink" campaign, presented by the American Cancer Society.
