Mad Ants Announce Training Camp Invitees

Indiana Mad Ants News Release


Fort Wayne, IN (November 4, 2009)-The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that nine players have been added to the 2009-10 training camp roster. These players include five returning players, two allocated players, and two players invited from local player open try-outs.

Returning players from last season include Ron Howard, Chris Hunter, Anthony Kent, DeWitt Scott and Sean Sonderleiter.

Notre Dame's hot shooter Kyle McAlarney and his former teammate Ryan Ayers were assigned to the Mad Ants by the NBA D-League as allocated players of local significance.

Brandon Cotton, a point guard from the University of Detroit Mercy and Jared Carter, a seven footer from the University of Kentucky, earned training camp roster spots from local player open try-outs.

The remaining eight spots on the training camp roster will be set this Thursday, November 5, as the Mad Ants have the tenth pick in the NBA D-League Draft. Coverage of the draft will be aired on NBA TV starting at 7:00 PM.

The Mad Ants will be holding a draft party at Crazy Pinz starting at 6:00 PM. Fans can meet and greet some of the players and coaches as well as the Madame Ants and The Mad Ant himself.
