MacLean Joins Sundogs After San Antonio Camp

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The 2008 Central Hockey League Ray Miron President's Cup Champion Arizona Sundogs announced today that forward AJ MacLean has joined the Club after skating as an invite in triple-A affiliate the San Antonio Rampage's (AHL) training camp.

MacLean spent the 2007-08 season with the Pensacola Ice Pilots in the ECHL. In 29 games, the Antigonish, Nova Scotia, native registered six points (1g/5a) and 22 penalty minutes (PIM). The 6-foot, 200-pound forward's best season came in 2006-07 while with the Oklahoma City Blazers (CHL). In 56 appearances, MacLean tallied a career-high 15 goals and 27 points. In 224 pro contests over four seasons, the 25-year-old has collected 37 goals, 48 assists and 166 PIM in 224 contests.

As of Monday, Oct. 6, several player assignments from the Phoenix Coyotes triple-A affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, are still pending. All training camp on-ice sessions are open to the public. The Sundogs will skate Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30am. Fans wishing to attend are asked to enter through the Arizona Sundogs Team Store in the northwest corner of Tim's Toyota Center. Seating will be available in sections 203-206.

The 2008 training camp schedule will feature two preseason games at Tim's Toyota Center against the Wichita Thunder on Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11. Both games are slated for 7:05pm starts. Tickets to each game are available for just $13 regardless of location inside Tim's Toyota Center.

The Sundogs open the regular season at home on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7:05pm against Southwest Division foe the Odessa Jackalopes.
