
Mack Hits For Cycle To Lift Blaze To Sweep

LANCASTER, Calif. - Chantz Mack hit for the cycle and drove in five runs to lead the Bakersfield Blaze over the Lancaster JetHawks, 12-2 on Sunday afternoon at The Hangar, clinching a four-game sweep.
Mack had five hits, including two doubles and a three-run homer to highlight a four-run seventh inning when the Blaze (37-33) broke open the game. It was the second cycle against the JetHawks (34-35) this season.
Down 3-0 heading into the bottom of the fifth inning, Lancaster rallied for a pair of runs to creep within one. Aaron Mizell drove home one on a ground out and Drew Ferguson brought in the other with an RBI double.
The Blaze out-hit the JetHawks 16-4 and outscored Lancaster 40-18 in the series.
Eddie Campbell (6-6) picked up the win, going five innings and allowing two hits and two earned runs. The left-hander walked four and struck out five.
Dean Deetz (3-3) suffered the loss for Lancaster. He lasted 5.1 innings and gave up seven hits and three earned runs, walking five and striking out five.
The JetHawks have the next three days off for the All-Star Break. They will resume action and begin the second half of play on Thursday night against the Lake Elsinore Storm at The Hangar. First pitch is 6:35 p.m.
