Peterborough Petes News Release
(Peterborough, ON) - Coach of the U11 Tier 1, Team Four Ice Kats, Mac Arnott is recognized as this week's exceptional minor hockey volunteer. The Petes want to celebrate minor hockey volunteers for their contributions to the safe return of minor hockey during this unprecedented season.
Arnott is celebrated for his ongoing positive attitude and diligent work in ensuring all his players have a fun and welcoming experience on the ice while teaching drills that all kids can quickly grasp.
"Mac is super passionate about hockey and is doing everything he can to make it fun but also provide a great learning experience for all kids," says Kim Shearer, who nominated Arnott. "He's so calm but fun and demanding at the same time. He creates an amazing environment for memories and friendships to be created."
Each week the Petes will recognize and celebrate one volunteer from the PMHC, PHA, PGHA, and local adaptive hockey organizations for their additional time and effort in ensuring a safe environment and return for hockey.
The Petes welcome players, parents and other members of the minor hockey community to nominate deserving local volunteers by filling out this form.
Every Thursday Petes fans are encouraged to tune into the Peterborough Petes Facebook page for Thursday Night Live (TNL). Each episode of TNL features an exclusive Q&A with special celebrity guests, a musical performance, cooking segments, and merchandise offers.
