MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - After selecting Duke guard Tricia Liston (12th overall) and West Virgina Center Asya Bussie (15th overall) with their first two picks in the 2014 WNBA Draft, the Minnesota Lynx wrapped up the evening by taking Vanderbilt guard Christina Foggie with the 24th pick and Louisville forward Asia Taylor with the 36th pick.
Foggie claimed the SEC scoring crown in 2013-14 (19 ppg) and was named to the WBCA All-American Honorable Mention and All-SEC First Teams. The 5-9 guard ranks seventh on Vanderbilt's all-time scoring list (1,743 points) and became Vanderbilt's all-time leader in three-pointers made (276). She reached double figures in 85 games in her career, including scoring 20 or more points in 32 games.
Taylor missed all of 2012-13 with an injury but came back in the 2013-14 season and was named to the All-American Athletic Conference First Team and was also named Most Improved Player. She helped the Cardinal to an Elite Eight appearance in 2013-14, averaging 10.8 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game.
