Lynx solve Riddle

The Augusta Lynx announced today that they have agreed to terms with forward Jake Riddle for the 2005-06 Season.
Riddle, 22, split his rookie season in the ECHL between the Wheeling Nailers and Peoria Rivermen. With Peoria, the 6-1, 212 lb. left wing scored 12 goals and 26 points in 44 games, finishing the year with 26 points in 56 games and 128 PIMs.
"Jake improved steadily last season," said Lynx head coach Bob Ferguson. "For his second year I expect him to elevate his game to the next level, and become a guy who can get us 20 goals and 175 PIMs. He's a tough, gritty winger who puts in a solid effort every night."
Originally selected in the 8th round, 239th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Riddle played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League, piling up both points and PIMs. In a total of 274 games, the Minneapolis, Minnesota native scored 79 goals and 166 points while racking up 564 minutes in penalties.
Riddle now brings to six the number of players on board with Augusta for the 2005-06 Season, along with Brian Passmore, Jimmy Callahan, Ken Scuderi, Ryan Lang, and Chris Chaput.
