
Lynx Sign Joel Hanson

AUGUSTA, Ga.− The Augusta Lynx have signed forward Joel Hanson, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations John Marks announced today.
"Joel is a big guy, who skates well for his size," Marks said. "He's going to be an impact player for us, and the kind of power forward that our fans should really enjoy watching play."
The 6-foot-3, 205-pound native of Elk River, Minn., had four assists and four penalty minutes in four regular-season games with the Columbia Inferno last season. Hanson also had four assists and two penalty minutes in 13 Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Inferno last season.
Prior to signing with the Inferno near the conclusion of the 2007-08 season, Hanson had 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) and 26 penalty minutes in 39 games as captain at Minnesota State University. Hanson had 80 points (32 goals, 48 assists) and 82 penalty minutes in 148 games with the Mavericks from 2004-05 through the 2007-08 season. His complete statistics are attached.
