THE HILLCATS: Tuesday the Hillcats beat the Potomac Nationals 4-3 on a walk-off three-run triple for OF Keenan Wiley...Lynchburg was down 3-1 heading into the bottom of the ninth before Wiley's game winning line drive to center field won it...The Hillcats sit in fourth place in the Carolina League Northern Division, now 9.5 games back of the first place Wilmington Blue Rocks...

VS. WINSTON-SALEM: The Hillcats are 3-3 against the Dash in 2011 after winning games one and two of the current series...Lynchburg looks for the sweep tonight...The two teams first met in Winston-Salem, May 5-8...Despite hitting .296 as a team through the four-game series, the 'Cats dropped three of four, after winning the opener...Last season the Dash won the season series 16-4 against Lynchburg...The former Braves Advanced-A affiliate, Myrtle Beach Pelicans, nearly split the season series nine out of 20 from Winston-Salem a season ago...

PUT A CORK IN IT ZANE!: It's a walk-off...The Hillcats won in their final at-bat for the second straight game last night...INF Joe Leonard drove in the game winner Monday night in the bottom of the 11th on a sacrifice fly and the 'Cats won 2-1...Last night, Lynchburg ended the game in regulation with a three-run ninth after being down 3-1...Keenan Wiley's bases clearing triple ended the game...It was the first win for the Hillcats this season when trailing after eight innings, and it was the Dash's first loss when ahead after eight frames...Lynchburg joined Kinston, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem, as the only teams in the league with wins after being behind heading into the ninth...

THAT WAS CLOSE: Lynchburg has now won three one-run games in a row but still holds the worst record in one-run contests in the Carolina League this season at 6-8...The Hillcats are tied with the Kinston Indians for the fewest one-run games this season (14), while Winston-Salem has now played the most at 18...The Dash are sub .500 as well at 8-10 in one-run games after last night's loss...

GIVE'EM SOMETHING TO CHEER ABOUT: The Hillcats are a league worst 7-12 at home this season, but have won their last three in a row at City Stadium...It is just the second three-game winning streak for the 'Cats this season and the first three-game streak at home...Their only other three-game winning streak came against Frederick (4/21-4/23) on the road...

THIRD TIMES A CHARM: Tonight, the 'Cats attempt to complete their first sweep of the season...It is the third opportunity for a sweep the Hillcats have had this year...The first was a possible four-game sweep in Frederick April 21-24 but the 'Cats fell short 2-1 in the finale...The next opportunity came at home against Wilmington May 2-4, but the Blue Rocks took game three 7-3 over Lynchburg...

BEST OF THE BRAVOS: Eight members of the Hillcats are ranked amongst the top 30 prospects in the Braves organization according to Baseball America...That list includes RHP Arodys Vizcaino (7), SS Andrelton Simmons (15), RHP David Hale (17), RHP Dimasther Delgado (18), OF Todd Cunningham (20), OF Adam Milligan (22), INF Joe Leonard (23) and 2B Phil Gosselin (25)...Vizcaino was tabbed the 93rd best prospect in all of baseball by BA as well...

EVERYONE LOVES A HERO: OF Keenan Wiley laced the game winning hit last night, a three-run triple to center field in the bottom of the ninth...It wasn't the first of his career, but it was the first walk-off hit for a Hillcat this season (Leonard walk-off sac fly Monday)...Wiley finished the night 2-for-4 with three RBI, and is now hitting .325 (25-for-77) through 20 games this season since being called up from Low-A Rome...After going 0-for-5 in his first two games for Lynchburg, he has hit safely in 15 of 18 games since and is currently on a four-game hitting streak in which he is 7-for-17, with four RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base...

LYNCHBURG NEEDS YOU: The season hasn't quite reached the one-third mark, but the Hillcats have already had 37 different players active on the roster in 2011...Three original Hillcats have been promoted to AA-Mississippi, with one returning in RHP Eliecer Cardenas...Injuries have been the bigger factor, as 10 players have hit the disabled list after donning a Hillcats uniform this season...The latest to hit the DL was LHP Dimasther Delgado...RHP David Hale has been activated, returning to the Hillcats after spending nearly a month on the shelf (4/27-5/23)...C Jace Whitmer also voluntarily retired on Monday bringing the grand total for the Hillcats' transactions this season to 39 since the beginning of April...

TONIGHT'S OPPOSING PITCHER : RHP Cameron Bayne was selected in the 13th round of the 2009 draft by the White Sox out of Concordia University...Went 12-9 with a 3.60 ERA with Kannapolis in 2010...Led the South Atlantic League in wins (12) and innings pitched (165), and tied for third in complete games (2)...Currently 3-3 with a 3.49 ERA...Pitched five innings against Lynchburg on 5/8...Gave up four runs on five hits in five innings pitched and struck out six...
