Lunkers Pound Huskies in 10-4 Win

The Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers put up 10 runs against the Duluth Huskies on Saturday Night at Stewart C. Mills Field, with all those runs coming in the Bottom of the 3rd inning. All nine guys in the Lunker batting order would score in that 3rd inning, with seven singles in the inning and a double.

Nine of those runs came against Huskies starter Will Dismukes, who took his first loss of the season.

The big hit in the inning came off the bat of Hunter Adrian. With the Lunkers already up 4-1, Adrian delievered a two out double over the head of Huskies right fielder Mike Bisenius, making the score 6-1. The Lunkers would go on to add four more runs in that inning.

Kye Winter had a strong night on the mound for the Lunkers. He went seven innings giving up seven hits, one run and would strike out 10 on the way to his first win of the season.

The Lunkers move to (3-1) on the season with the win. They will finish out the short two-game series with the Huskies tomorrow at 1:05pm at Mills Field.
