The LumberKings have started the week 2-0 after a 5-4 walk-off win over top of the Normal CornBelters at Nelson Corp Field.
The LumberKings were lead offensively by Daunte DeCello who went 1-4 with a HR (3) and two RBI's. Tyler Dahm added a 2-4 night at the plate knocking in a run and scoring two runs. Rayth Petersen went 3-4 at the plate and Anthony Mangano knocked in the winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the 9th.
The third straight matchup between these two teams at NelsonCorp Field that has ended in a walk-off win for the LumberKings.
With the win, the LumberKings improve to 14-11 in the second half of the prospect league season and with a loss from quincy would take a 2.5 game lead in the division. Logan Romasanta gets the win for the LumberKings he improves to 2-1.
The LumberKings hit the road to Peru tomorrow to take on the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp.
