
LumberKings Snap Losing Streak

The LumberKings finally snapped a ten game losing streak tonight at Nelson Corp Field. A game that was tied throughout a majority of the ball game, it was a messy game through 4 and a half innings.
In the bottom of the 5th Jay Beshears had a solo shot (3) to tie up the game in the 5th.
Back to back scoreless innings in the 6th and 7th frames brought us to a tie ball game heading to the bottom of the eighth inning. In his first game as a LumberKing this summer Izaya Fullard doubled to right center to bring home Justin Conant and put the LumberKings up 4-3 heading into the 9th.
Casey Day came into relieve Grayson Drezek who through three scoreless inning prior. Day struck out three Pistol Shrimp in a row to retire the side and get the save.
The LumberKings improve to 9-15 and the Pistol Shrimp fall to 7-18. Drezek gets the win (1-1), Manikowski gets the loss (0-2).
The LumberKings hit the road for a two game series in Alton on Thursday and Friday.
