The LumberKings losing streak continued on Sunday at Nelson Corp Field. Now at nine games, the LumberKings have an off day tomorrow with a chance to recharge and refresh.
This loss coming from the hands of the O'Fallon Hoots had a final score of 7-0.
The LumberKings had three hits in the ball game all coming from a 3-4 performance at the dish from Justin Conant. They had one scoring opprotunity with the bases loaded in the 6th inning but left three runners stranded.
Jamie Young got the win (2-1), Jakob Kirman got the loss (2-1) as the LumberKings drop to 8-14 and the Hoots improve to 14-7.
Next game for the LumberKings is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, first pitch 6:35 as the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp come to Clinton for a two game series scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
