
LumberKings Drop One on the Road to Quincy

LumberKings dropped one on the road to Quincy with a final score of 16-3. Kyle Lehman got the game started off with his first home run of the season, a 3-run shot to right field. Unfortunately for Clinton that would be the only runs that came across in the game.
This one was all Gems from the jump as they were only held scoreless during one frame. Of the 16 runs scored by the gems, Danny Sperling started off his career with the gems with five of those RBI's. Dane Thomas had 4 RBI's as well including a two run shot in the bottom of the 6th.
With a final score of 16-3 the Gems improve to 3-8 and the LumberKings drop to 7-4. The winning pitcher on the night was Ryan Towers, Dylan Emmons got the loss for the LumberKings.
Next game for the LumberKings will be tomorrow night at Nelson Corp Field against the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp, first pitch 6:30 p.m.
