Clinton LumberKings News Release

Clinton, IA - Dave Lezotte, the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Clinton LumberKings since 2006, is leaving the organization that gave him his start in Minor League Baseball. A radio voice of the LumberKings for the past six seasons, Lezotte is moving on to become the Media Relations Coordinator for the Gwinnett Braves, Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

Lezotte, 28, came to Clinton after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2005. In his time with the LumberKings, he assisted in the major renovation of Ashford University Field in 2006, broadcasted playoff games in four seasons including the Midwest League Championship Series in 2010, handled all media functions of the 2009 Midwest League All-Star Game and, along with the rest of the front office staff, contributed to six successful seasons.

"I couldn't have asked for a better organization to get my start in Minor League Baseball," said Lezotte. "I came to Clinton in 2006 and learned from the staff each and every year. I'm proud at what we've accomplished here and hope my experiences with the LumberKings translate into success in my new position with the Gwinnett Braves."

The LumberKings are currently in the process of looking for a new Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. Resumes, references and demo CD's can be sent to the Clinton LumberKings at P.O. Box 1295, Clinton, IA.

The LumberKings, Midwest League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, open the 2012 season at Ashford University Field on Thursday, April 5 as they take on Burlington.
