Clinton LumberKings News Release

Clinton, IA - The Clinton LumberKings announced today that Chad Seely has been hired to replace Dave Lezotte as the "Voice of the LumberKings". Lezotte - who held the position for the past six seasons - was recently hired as the Public and Media Relations Manager for the Gwinnett Braves, the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.

Seely, 25, served as the Assistant Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Daytona Cubs - the Advanced Class A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs - in 2011. The Wisconsin native split time with play-by-play and color commentary duties, broadcasting a number of playoff games including the Florida State League Championship Series. "I'm very excited about this opportunity to join the LumberKings", said Seely. "I had the opportunity to work with some great people who gave me a start in my baseball broadcasting career. I'm ready to put to use some of the things I learned and start calling some games in the talent-filled Midwest League."

The 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater called football games for the NCAA Division III National Champion UW-Whitewater Warhawks. He has also worked with WAUK 540 ESPN Radio Milwaukee, covering the Milwaukee Brewers as they made their playoff push in 2008.
