LumberJax first ever game tonight at Arizona

The 2006 LumberJax take to the turf tonight for their first-ever game against the Arizona Sting. Portland fans can watch the game on KPDX TV49 (UPN) at 10p (tape delay). The first regular season game in franchise history will come after the Jax two exhibition game wins against Edmonton and San Jose. The team will prove their skills in a great match up against Arizona, who come into this game off a win at Toronto.

Tonight will also be the first introduction to the 2005 #1 draft pick, Brodie Merrill and the newly-acquired, most decorated goalie in NLL history, Dallas Eliuk. The team will be led by Coach/General Manager Derek Keenan who has created a strong 23-man roster for the 2006 season.

The LumberJax will return home next week to face Colorado in the inaugural game in the Rose Garden on Saturday, January 21 at 7:30p.
