Lumberjacks Announce Book Drive

MUSKEGON, Michigan (September 30th) - From September 30th to November 1st, the Muskegon Lumberjacks will be hosting a Book Drive in which 13 different libraries across the Greater Muskegon area and Northern Ottawa County will be participating in the event.

At each library, there will be a designated spot for the donation box, Enter-to-Win box, and signage. When a guest donates a book, they can also register to win a free Family Four Pack to any Lumberjacks home game this season. The Family Four Pack includes four tickets, four hot dogs, and four sodas.

Following the conclusion of the Book Drive, a Lumberjacks staff member will collect all the boxes at every location and draw a winner for the Family Four Pack at each location (13 winners in all). Also, the books will be donated to various charities across the area in which they are chosen by the libraries themselves. The Lumberjacks players will be donating the books, in person, to the local charities.

In accordance with the Book Drive, the Saturday, November 9th home contest against the Dubuque Fighting Saints will feature "Library Night with the Lumberjacks" in which all library card holders can present their cards at the L.C. Walker Arena Box Office to receive a discounted for only $8. Puck drop for the game is at 7:15 pm.

The Lumberjacks will continue their short three-game home stand this weekend with a pair of games on Friday and Saturday against the Fargo Force at 7:15 pm, respectively. Friday's game will feature a magnetic schedule giveaway presented by Aspire Lending to the first 3,000 fans along with the return of our "Jacks Win You Win" promotion presented by Sport Clips. If the Lumberjacks win on Friday, fans will receive a $5 Sport Clips gift card.

Saturday's game features a team poster giveaway along with the return of our Subway Saturday's promotion. If the Lumberjacks win on Saturday, fans can redeem their ticket stubs at any participating Subway location for a buy one six-inch sub, get one six-inch sub of equal or lesser value for free.

The exclusive radio home for the Muskegon Lumberjacks all season long is 92.5 FM WLAW "The Outlaw" as Bryan Fongers delivers the call beginning ten minutes prior to puck drop.

Season ticket packages for the 2013-14 season are still on sale for the low price of $225 for adults and $150 for children ages 3-12 for the 30 home games provided next season along with individual tickets.
