
Luis Torrens to Make Rehab Appearance in Everett

EVERETT, WASHINGTON: The Everett AquaSox have confirmed that Luis Torrens is expected to make a Major League Baseball Rehabilitation appearance in Everett on Friday, July 8th.
The Mariners placed Torrens on the injured list back on June 27th. In parts of three seasons with the Mariners, he has appeared in 162 games and hit .240 with 123 hits and 16 home runs.
Torrens was selected in the Rule Five Draft by the Padres back in 2016 and made his debut in 2017 at the age of 20. Torrens would play the next couple of seasons in the minor leagues before being brought back to the big league club in 2019.
Torrens was acquired by the Mariners from San Diego back on August 31, 2020. He played a career high 108 games in 2021 and hit 15 home runs.
