Lubbock Gunslingers Announce Tryouts for 2006 Season

Lubbock, TX, November 3, 2005 - The Lubbock Gunslingers, a Texas team of the National Indoor Football League, is conducting tryouts for the 2006 season. Tryouts will be held on November 20, 2005 in the indoor turf room at Chapman Field (2302 Avenue W, Lubbock), with registration beginning at 8:00 am.
In conjunction with the hiring of new Head Coach, Ed Jenkins, the Gunslingers are eager to secure new and talented players to make 2006 an exceptional season. "Lubbock has a rich football tradition, and there is great pedigree in the area. There's no better place to begin building a champion than right here at home," conveyed Ed Jenkins, "I am excited in putting together the best team possible for the 2006 football season."
Registration will be $45.00 (cash or money order only, no checks); however, participants have the option of pre-registering by 5:00 pm, November 18 for a fee of only $40.00. Candidates should wear suitable athletic attire and indoor turf shoes or sneakers. A Gunslingers t-shirt will be provided. Participants will be tested in the 40 yard dash, short shuttle, 3 cone drill and other combine tests during the morning session. The afternoon will consist of position specific drills and group work.
