December 13, 2003 - NBA G League (G League)
Charleston Lowgators News Release

CHARLESTON, S.C. (December 13) Ime Udoka had 25 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Charleston Lowgators over the Fayetteville Patriots 116-90 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday night. The 116 points were a franchise-high for the Lowgators.

Down by 12 points in the second quarter, Charleston (4-3) used a 16-3 run spanning over four minutes to take a lead they would never relinquish. Leading 29-20 after the first period, the Patriots (4-4) were outscored 96-61 the rest of the way.

"This was a great team victory," Lowgators head coach Doug Marty said. "I was concerned early on but we believed in ourselves and started to concentrate and execute. It was great to see 17 assists from our two point guards. That means they were doing their job and distributing the ball."

Charleston's Tierre Brown had 9 assists and Jason Miskiri dished out 8. The Lowgators had a season-high 29 assists on the night.

The loss for Fayetteville was their second in as many nights. They allowed 118 points against Columbus on Friday night losing by 24.

Alpha Bangura had 20 points to help the Lowgators cause, while Karim Shabazz added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Junie Sanders and Jason Collier, who both had 16 points each, led the Patriots.

Charleston will face the Roanoke Dazzle at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Roanoke Civic Center. Fayetteville travels to Columbus on Monday night at 7:00 p.m.
