Lowell Spinners Announce 2019 Roster

LOWELL, MA - The Lowell Spinners, proud affiliate of the 2018 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox, have announced their roster for the 2019 season.

2018 World Series MVP Steve Pearce will begin the season on the Spinners roster. Pearce began the season up in Boston before being placed in the Injured List on June 1.

While with the big club, Pearce hit .180, with a homer and 9 RBIs in 29 games. In the World Series, Pearce hit .333, with 3 home runs and 8 RBIs. He also scored 5 runs, and walked 4 times. He also held an OBP of .500 and OPS of 1.167.

The Spinners will start the season with four draft picks from 2019 on their roster: 3rd-round pick Ryan Zeferjahn (Kansas), 8th-round pick Wil Dalton (Florida), 17th-round pick Alex Erro (Northwestern), and 29th round pick Luke Bandy (Dallas Baptist) make up the 2019 Draft Class that will begin the year in Lowell.

Returning players include: infielders Xavier LeGrant and Nick Northcut and catcher Elih Marrero.

Lowell opens its season at home tonight vs. Connecticut Tigers, first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
