Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters committed seven errors in their Opening Night loss to the State College Spikes at BB&T Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field.
Gustavo Armas took the loss, allowing 3 runs, 1 earned, over 3 innings of work. Armas struck out one and walked one in the loss.
Logan Simmons recorded a pair of RBI in his Cutters debut, finishing the night 1-2 with a double. Julio Francisco recorded an RBI, going 2-5 with a pair of singles.
The Crosscutters left eight runners on base, including leaving the tying run at 3rd base in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Of the Crosscutters eight hits, four went for doubles. D.J. Stewart led the Crosscutters with two doubles, while Keudy Bocio and Logan Simmons each recorded a double.
