Louisville City FC Season Tickets on Sale for Expanded 2017
Published on August 1, 2016 under United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Louisville City FC News Release
Louisville City FC announced Monday that the 2017 Season Ticket renewal process is underway, and that orders for new season tickets are now being accepted. With the addition of one home game to next year's schedule -- for a total of 16 -- current Louisville City FC season ticket holders can get more bang for their buck by renewing packages.
Prices start at $180, and season ticket rates for all but two seating areas at Louisville Slugger Field remained the same as 2016. With the 16-game slate, per-seat costs are as low as $11.25 to sit in the $180 Supporter Zone behind the West goal at Slugger Field. Midfield Premium seats along the South end of the pitch run $315 ($19.69 per game) with Upper Club Premium -- top-level tickets -- at $480 ($30 per game).

The United Soccer League Board of Governors approved schedule expansion last week at its mid-year meetings. The 32-game slate - 16 games at home and just as many away - begins March 24-26 and will be contested over a timespan not to exceed 30 weeks. The 2016 USL season consists of 30 games played in 27 weeks.
LouCity sits in first place more than two-thirds the way through this season. The club climbed to the top of the USL's Eastern Conference by piecing together a 17-game unbeaten streak and features the league's Midseason MVP in forward Chandler Hoffman as well as Midseason Rookie of the Year in defender Kyle Smith.
"The support the Louisville community and surrounding region continues to show is momentous," said Louisville City president Amanda Duffy. "With the commitment from our season ticket holders and our growing fan base, some of the USL's largest crowds have gathered at Slugger Field, with a LouCity record 10,062 on hand June 25 for the club's game against FC Cincinnati to build one of the best environments in the league. "
All LouCity season ticket holders are eligible for discounted additional tickets, a team scarf, 10 percent off merchandise, access to exclusive events and first rights to playoff and exhibition games. Extra perks are available for current ticket holders based on when they renew. Before the end of August, advantages include 10 percent off the total price, a $100 gift card for LouCity merchandise and a ticket to the club's September 2016 games.
Additionally, the USL's 2017 playoff format will mirror 2016 with the top eight teams in each conference qualifying for the postseason.
"After evaluating a number of proposals the League and its Competition Committee agreed on several changes that we felt would deliver value to our clubs through the extra home match," said USL president Jake Edwards. "Also, lengthening the season gives us greater flexibility to create a more balanced schedule with less midweek matches. We will continue to build our national footprint with a focus on regional rivalries and a road map to a three-conference alignment in the very near future."
