Louisiana IceGators Signee Anthony Pisano with the St. Charles Chill

Louisiana IceGators have inked defenseman Anthony Pisano for the 2015-2016 season.
Head Coach Omicioli announced today, "After losing Tyler Barr to a call up and Luke Kasteel to an injury last season, we lacked a true enforcer. I felt teams took full advantage of both intimidating our squad and playing much tougher physically than they had earlier in the season. One of my goals this off season was to bring in a true enforcer, with great size, who had the ability to play a regular shift every game. I feel Anthony fits that description to a T and will be a force to be reckoned."
At 6'6", 250lbs, Gator fans it looks like Coach Omicioli has definitely found what he was looking for to fill that role. Pisano last played for the St. Charles Chill of the CHL during the 2013-2014 season before suffering an injury which would require him to take the 2014-2015 season off to recover.
Pisano, a native of New York, is excited for the season to begin. "I know a couple of guys on the team already and have only heard great things about Lafayette and the IceGators organization," said Pisano. "I am very competitive, hardworking and look to be a leader in the locker room. I bring a physical presence to the game. If someone gets between me and my teammate's goals, I tend to pull their jersey over their head and punch them in the face a few times."
Omicioli also stated, "Anthony is a stay home defenseman who is a menace in the d-zone. He (Pisano) has the ability to make a great hockey decisions."
