Louie Caporusso Reassigned to Elmira

ELMIRA, N.Y. - April 1, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals announced today that forward Louie Caporusso has been reassigned to the team by the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators.

Caporusso, a second-year pro out of the University of Michigan, returns to the Jackals after spending the last month and a half with Binghamton. He was called up to the B-Sens for the second time this season on February 14 and went on to post six points (1G, 5A) in 20 games. He had three assists in two games last weekend including his first AHL multi-point game with two helpers in Binghamton's 3-2 shootout loss to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton last Saturday.

A former third round draft pick (#90 overall) by Ottawa in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Caporusso finished the season as the Jackals' fifth-leading scorer with 45 points (19G, 26A) in 41 games. At the time of his call up, Caporusso was working on an eight game point streak (7G, 5A). He had recorded at least one point in 27 of 31 games from December 1 to February 13.

Additionally, today the Jackals announced that they have released forwards Alexandre Beauregard and Justin Daniels.
