Recap of Last Week

The Road Warriors completed the regular season with three games in three nights. The stretch of games began on Thursday against the South Carolina Stingrays. Sebastien Piche returned to the lineup for the first time since December 23rd and scored the only goal for the Road Warriors in a 5-1 loss. The Road Warriors played the final home game of the regular season on Friday night and again faced their intrastate rivals. The third largest crowd in Road Warriors history of 6,802, with all three coming this season, watched the Road Warriors fall to the Stingrays by a 3-1 score. Sean Berkstresser was the lone goal scorer for Greenville. The final regular season game of the year took place in Gwinnett against the Gladiators on Saturday night. Brendan Connolly tied a personal high with his 24th goal this season. Once again, the Road Warriors could only gather one goal in a 4-1 loss.

Week Ahead

The Road Warriors Drive to the Kelly Cup presented by FOX Carolina, ROCK 101 and 93.3 The Planet begins on Friday, April 5th against the Reading Royals at 7:05 p.m. Game One can be heard courtesy of America One or by clicking the listen live link on the Road Warriors' homepage. Game two is slated for Saturday, April 6th at 7:05 p.m. The series will then come to Greenville for games on Wednesday, April 10th and Thursday, April 11th. Both games will begin at 7:00 p.m. If Game Five is necessary, it will be played on the Century BMW Rink at the BI-LO Center on Sunday, April 14th at 4:00 p.m. Individual game tickets are on sale now at the BI-LO Center Box Office or online via Ticketmaster.com. Streaks and Stats

Marc-Olivier Vallerand finished first on the team in scoring with 67 points and tied for 12th in the league. Steven Delisle led the team in the regular season with a +23 rating and finished 9th in the league in the category. For the third straight year, T.J. Reynolds led the team in penalty minutes with 159. Marc-Olivier Vallerand finished tied for first in the league with four shorthanded goals. Nathan Lieuwen played the most games in net for Greenville (27) and collected the most wins (14) this season. Sean Berkstresser reached 100 penalty minutes for the first time in his career with 108. Marc-Olivier Vallerand led the team for the second straight year with six power play goals this season.

Transactions

On Thursday, the Road Warriors announced a flurry of roster activity. Most notably, Jyri Neimi was reassigned by the New York Rangers from the Connecticut Whale.
