On the road they go again.

After playing four of its five regular season matches away in April, Louisville City FC once again travels, this time to face Atlanta United 2 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw, Ga.

The two sides opened their 2022 USL Championship campaign in City's home opener on March 12 at Lynn Family Stadium, with the boys in purple claiming a 1-0 victory. Wilson Harris netted a 70th-minute game-winner. Wednesday will also serve as the last regular-season meeting between Louisville and Atlanta before the Major League Soccer affiliate makes the move to MLS Next Pro in 2023.

City and Atlanta enter the contest on opposite ends of the spectrum. The boys in purple are now 11 games unbeaten across all competitions and sit atop the Eastern Conference with a 6-0-3 record and 21 points, four clear of second-place Detroit City FC. A dominant 2-0 victory over Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on Saturday night marked City's league-best sixth clean sheet of the regular season - and its eighth overall.

Atlanta, however, has lost its last three games and was outscored 10-1 in those contests, including a pair of 4-0 losses to Hartford Athletic FC and Pittsburgh. At 2-6-0 on the season, Jack Collison's side currently sits 11th on the Eastern Conference table and have yet to record a clean sheet.
