EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders defeated the Springfield Armor 134-128 on Monday night.

In the first quarter, the D-Fenders (20-13) and the Armor (13-21) played a tightly contested match for the first ten minutes. However, Los Angeles struggled in the final two minutes and allowed Springfield to go on a 14-3 run to close the quarter and claim a 10-point advantage. The D-Fenders bounced back in the second frame by shooting 54.5 percent from the floor and tallying a second quarter season-high tying 38 points to pull within four points at the break. Overall, Los Angeles connected on 46.7 percent from the field and 46.7 percent from the three-point line in the first half.

The Armor would yet again pull the game back in their favor, taking a one-point lead with three minutes remaining in the game. Despite Springfield's resurgence, Los Angeles closed the game on an 11-5 run to secure their 20th victory of the season, and outright ownership of first place in the Western Division.

The D-Fenders will now travel to Texas to take on the Texas Legends (Dallas Mavericks affiliate) on Thursday, February 27th at 5:00pm, at The Dr. Pepper Arena, in Frisco, Texas.
