Loons Opening Day Washed Out

MIDLAND, Mich. - Tonight's Opening Day game scheduled for 6:05 p.m. at Dow Diamond between the Great Lakes Loons and Fort Wayne Tin Caps has been rescheduled due to rain. The game will be made up Friday, April 10, as a part of a doubleheader beginning at 5:05 p.m.

Both games of the doubleheader will be seven-inning contests separated by a half-hour break. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 5:05 p.m.

Friday's doubleheader will feature a Chemical Bank Dollar Family Feast Night with hot dogs, 16 oz. Pepsi, ice cream sandwiches and potato chips available for just $1 throughout both games.

Fans that purchased tickets for Opening Day may exchange them at the Dow Diamond box office for tickets of equal or lesser value to Friday's rescheduled doubleheader or any of the remaining Loons home games during the 2015 regular season, based on availability.

The Loons Opening Day Celebration Parade scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. today on Main Street in downtown Midland has also been cancelled due to current weather conditions and the forecasted weather for the remainder of the day.

The X Pogo Stunt Team scheduled to perform Opening Day will be rescheduled for a TBD date.

Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN 100.9-FM and ESPN1009.com with new play-by-play broadcaster Chris Vosters beginning his first season in the Great Lakes booth. All 140 games can be heard on ESPN 100.9-FM, the Loons flagship radio station.
