Loons Announce Chemical Bank Sponsorship

November 1, 2006 - Midwest League (MWL) - Great Lakes Loons News Release

The Great Lakes Loons have announced a partnership agreement between the team and Chemical Bank. As part of the partnership, Chemical Bank will serve as the official bank of the Great Lakes Loons.

Chemical Bank will have a prominent presence at all Loons events, which includes signage, sponsorship of the Loons autograph area and sponsorship of the Chemical Bank Baseball Buddies program. Starting next spring, the Baseball Buddies program will allow young Loons fans to sign up at Chemical Bank locations for the opportunity to take the field with Loons players prior to select home games. In addition, Chemical Bank will be the official sponsor of the Chemical Bank Founders Club, which offers special perks and amenities to Loons ticket package holders.

"The Loons are very excited to be partnering with such a strong leader in the community in Chemical Bank," said Paul Barbeau, Loons President and General Manager. "Chemical Bank has a strong regional presence in mid-Michigan and will be an integral part of the success of our franchise."

Chemical Bank President and CEO David Ramaker was equally excited about the partnership. "This is a very exciting project for mid-Michigan and we are pleased to be part of it," said Ramaker. "Our organizations share similar core values and we feel this partnership will reinforce those values."

The Great Lakes Loons are a single-A Minor League Baseball team in the Midwest League and are owned and operated by the non-profit Michigan Baseball Foundation. For more information, contact the Loons at 989-837-2255 or log on to www.loons.com.
